Our Mission & Vision

The mission of the Perry-Jackson Child Advocacy Center is to coordinate the timely, comprehensive team response to child sexual abuse and all other forms of child maltreatment in a child-centered, neutral setting, and to work with our community to build awareness.

Our vision is to have an engaged community focused on the safety and health of children and families through the strong leadership of the Perry-Jackson Child Advocacy Center.

Center Information

Our main office is located in Pinckneyville, IL. We also have a satellite office in Murphysboro, IL.

History

In 2001, the State’s Attorneys from Jackson and Perry County along with a concerned group of individuals began meeting to discuss the development of a Child Advocacy Center for both Perry and Jackson Counties in Southern Illinois.  The focus was to develop a program in which all services provided would minimize the trauma experienced by children during and after the disclosure of abuse…

Services

The Perry-Jackson Child Advocacy Center accepts referrals from the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS), law enforcement agencies, and other sources as approved by the Executive Director.
All services provided to children and their non-offending family members is free of charge. If you are interested in having someone from our center come and give a presentation please call 618-357-2990.

Most of our funding comes from grants through the local, state, and federal government.
